Front

COMPONENTS - Front disc brakes are standard on all vehicles. The front disc brakes consist of:
^ Disc brake rotors.
^ Brake shoes and linings.
^ Front brake hoses.
^ Disc brake caliper.
^ The disc brake caliper is attached to the front suspension spindle with a front disc brake caliper anchor plate.

Caliper
^ Bolts to the front wheel spindles .
^ The disc brake caliper has a steel caliper piston with a piston seal and a press-in type dust boot.
^ Hydraulically activated pin slider type disc brake calipers.

Rotor - The front disc brake rotors are:
^ A 294 mm (11.6 inch) full-cast vented front disc brake rotor.
^ Are of a ventilated full-cast design, with non-directional cooling fins.
^ Mounted on the wheel hub.
^ Serviced with the disc brake caliper assembly removed.

Brake Shoes And Linings
^ Are housed in the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
^ Are of a non-asbestos, non-metallic composition.

SERVICING
NOTE: Brake friction materials inherently generate noise and heat to dissipate energy. As a result, occasional squeal is possible, and it is aggravated by severe environmental conditions such as cold, heat, rain, snow, salt, mud and other conditions.
