Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected or reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.





2. Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) bracket clip and slide the PCM from the bracket support.





3. Remove the PCM.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Disconnect the main wiring from the PCM.

INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
