Retrieve Module Identification

This function is used to verify the correct version level of the module being tested.
1. Perform New Generation Star Tester Hookup and Vehicle Selection.

NOTE: The steering column/ignition/lighting control module, driver door module, driver seat module and passenger seat module can perform functions with the ignition switch in the RUN position. Follow the test set up procedure within the pinpoint test being performed to ensure proper ignition switch position for the required module functions. All other modules require the ignition switch to be in the RUN position or the test will fail.

2. Rotate dial to menu item "Diagnostic Data Link" and press trigger.
3. Select module by rotating dial to highlight module and press trigger.
4. Rotate dial to highlight menu item "Module Identification" and press trigger.
