Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove both the front wheel and tire assemblies.





3. Separate the front stabilizer bar from the stabilizer bar link.
^ Remove the retaining nut.
^ Using the Ball Joint Remover, separate the front stabilizer bar from the stabilizer bar link.





4. Remove the stabilizer bar link from the spindle.
^ Remove the retaining nut.
^ Using the Ball Joint Remover, remove the stabilizer bar link.





5. Remove the front stabilizer bar retaining bracket bolts and the stabilizer bar bracket.
6. Repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5 on the other side.
7. Lower the sub-frame approximately 152 mm (6 inches).
8. Remove the front stabilizer bar through the left side wheel opening.








INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
