Electronic Door Lock Control System
The electronic door lock control system consists of three components:
^ Driver door module.
^ Five-button keyless entry keypad on the driver door.
^ Four-button (hand-held) keyless entry remote transmitter.
The driver door module will perform the following functions:
^ Unlock driver door.
^ Unlock all doors.
^ Unlock luggage compartment door.
^ Lock all doors.
^ Automatically lock all doors when all doors are closed, the ignition switch is in the RUN position, someone is seated in the driver seat, and the transmission is shifted into any forward or reverse gear.
^ Arm and disarm the anti-theft alarm control.
^ Provide a signal to the lighting control module to:
- Turn on interior lamps, keyless entry keypad and door lock cylinder illumination after any button on the keyless entry keypad is pushed or either front door handle is lifted.
- Turn on interior lamps, and door lock cylinder illumination when using the keyless entry remote transmitter.
- Activate and deactivate personal security feature which sounds horn and flashes park lamp when PANIC button on key less entry remote transmitter is pressed.
The driver door module will also accept and store an alternate entry code. Either code will then operate the system.
The alarm and lock system antenna used in this system is part of the driver door module and can only be serviced by replacing the driver door module.
