Child Safety Lock

The child safety lock, when activated, prevents the rear door from being opened from inside the vehicle regardless of the position of the rear door latch push button rod.
^ The child safety lock has been designed into the rear door latch.
^ A decal on the rear door lock face shows the location of the lever.
^ The lever is manually moved up to lock and down to unlock the child safety lock system.
^ Once the child safety lock lever is put into the locked position and the rear door is closed, the rear door can only be opened from outside the vehicle.
^ The child safety lock does not lock the rear door from the outside.
^ It is still necessary to push the door lock knob down or press the door lock switch to lock the rear door from outside.
