Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

The sliding roof panel:
^ Is available as an option.
^ Is electrically operated.

The electrical system operates in the following manner:
^ When the roof sliding panel switch is rocked rearward the roof sliding outer glass panel slides into the storage space between the roof trim panel and the roof panel, exposing an opening over the front seats.
^ When the roof sliding panel switch is rocked forward with the roof sliding outer glass panel fully back in the storage space, the roof sliding outer glass panel moves forward from the storage position.
^ The rear portion of the roof sliding outer glass panel moves upward on two lifter arms near the end of the forward travel, allowing a weather-tight seal when the roof sliding outer glass panel is closed.
^ When the roof sliding panel switch is rocked forward with the roof sliding outer glass panel fully forward, the rear of the roof sliding outer glass panel "pops up" to VENT position.
^ With the roof sliding outer glass panel in the VENT position, rocking the roof sliding panel switch rearward closes the roof sliding outer glass panel.
