Sliding Roof Headlining

REMOVAL







1. Open roof sliding outer glass panel approximately one-third of the way.
2. Remove three screws and roof sliding panel opening shield. Working toward the opposite side. remove front of roof sliding panel opening shield from roof sliding outer glass panel. Then close roof sliding outer glass panel.







3. Raise roof sliding outer glass panel to the full vent position.
4. On each side of the roof sliding panel opening shield, approximately half-way toward the rear, use a wide-blade screwdriver to press up on release tabs located on bottom surface (right above track screws on each side).







5. Move rear hooked ends of roof sliding panel opening shield inward up over rubber roof sliding panel headlining bumpers and remove roof sliding panel opening shield from vehicle.
6. Slide roof sliding panel headlining half-way back.
7. While holding down on front of roof sliding panel headlining, run glass past the roof sliding panel headlining all the way toward the rear.
8. Remove small inner track screws on each side.
9. Pull roof sliding panel headlining forward, up and out through opening created by bending up roof sliding panel rail section where screws were.

CAUTION: Use care not to overbend roof sliding panel rail to prevent component damage.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE: Roof sliding panel opening shield has a snap-fit on side guides just above track screws which trap the roof sliding panel headlining. Make sure an audible click is heard when pressing the roof sliding panel opening shield onto the guide. Test by trying to pull off without pressing the release tab.

2. Make sure roof sliding panel headlining side guides are fully down in tracks before sliding roof sliding panel headlining rearward.
