Power Door Lock Switch: Testing and Inspection

Driver Door Lock Switch Connector:

Passenger Door Lock Switch Connector:

1. Use an ohmmeter to test the door lock switch.
2. With the door lock switch in the NEUTRAL position between terminal 2 and terminals 3 and 4, should be an open circuit.
3. When the raised portion of the door lock switch rocker knob (marked L) is pushed resistance between terminals 3 and 2 on LH lock switch, and terminals 3 and 4 on RH lock switch should be 5 ohms or less.
4. When the depressed portion of the door lock switch rocker knob (marked U) is pushed, resistance between terminals 3 and 4 on LH lock switch and terminals 3 and 2 on RH lock switch should be 5 ohms or less.
5. If the door lock switch does not test as stated, replace the entire door lock switch housing and wiring assembly.
