Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: Windshield wiper mounting arms and pivot shafts are not separately serviceable. Windshield wipers must be replaced as an assembly (less windshield wiper motor).

2. Remove windshield wiper arms.
3. Remove LH cowl vent screen and RH cowl vent screen.
4. Disconnect hose from windshield washer hose.
5. Remove bolts retaining windshield wiper assembly to cowl. Lift windshield wiper assembly upward.
6. Disconnect windshield wiper motor output arm.
7. Remove windshield wiper motor from windshield wiper assembly.







INSTALLATION
1. Transfer windshield wiper motor to new windshield wiper assembly and follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten retaining bolts to 10-14 Nm (89-123 Lb-In).
