Installation

INSTALLATION
1. Install the instrument panel into the vehicle.

CAUTION: When installing the instrument panel, be sure to feed the transmission wiring harness through the floor pan opening or damage to the wiring harness may occur.

NOTE: Two technicians are required to install the instrument panel in the vehicle.







2. Install the instrument panel cowl top bolts.







3. Install the RH instrument panel cowl side nut.







4. Install the instrument panel to floor bracket.
1 Position the instrument panel to floor bracket.
2 Install the bolts.







5. Install the instrument panel center support nuts.







6. Install the LH instrument panel cowl side nuts.







7. Seat the transmission wiring harness grommet into the floorpan.







8. Connect the antenna cable in-line connector.







9. Connect the RH wiring harness connectors.







10. Install the RH cowl side insulator pad.
- Install the pushpin.







11. Connect the wiring harness in-line connector through the glove compartment opening.







12. Connect the climate control vacuum harness connector.







13. Connect the EATC sensor hose and elbow.
14. Install the passenger side air bag module.
15. Install the glove compartment.







16. Install the RH instrument panel insulator.
1 Position the instrument panel insulator.
2 Install the courtesy lamp.
3 Install the pushpins.







17. Connect the ignition/shifter interlock cable.
1 Insert the ignition/shifter interlock cable into the pawl.
2 Insert the ignition/shifter interlock cable into the gear shift selector housing bracket.







18. Connect the LH wiring harness connectors.
1 Connect the LH wiring harness connectors.
2 Tighten the bulkhead electrical connector bolt.







19. Install the windshield wiper control module and bracket.
1 Install the windshield wiper control module and bracket.
2 Install the screw.
3 Connect the electrical connector.







20. Install the instrument panel defroster opening grille.
1 Position the instrument panel defroster opening grille.
2 Connect the A/C sunload sensor electrical connector.
3 Install the instrument panel defroster opening grille.







21. If equipped, on LH roof side inner front moulding, connect the mobile phone speaker electrical connector.







22. Install the LH and RH roof side inner front mouldings.







23. Install the LH and RH cowl side trim panels.







24. Install the LH and RH front door weathers trips.







25. Install the heater outlet duct.







26. Position the EATC module.
1 Position the EATC module.
2 Connect the vacuum harness.
3 Install the nuts.
4 Connect the electrical connectors.







27. Install the EATC module.
1 Install the EATC module.
2 Install the screws.
28. Install the radio chassis.
29. Install the floor console.
30. Install the steering column.







31. Clip the LH bulkhead electrical connector into the dash panel.







32. Connect the LH bulkhead electrical connector
1 Connect the LH bulkhead electrical connector.
2 Tighten the bolt.







33. Connect the LH electrical connectors.
1 Connect the LH electrical connectors.
2 Tighten the bolt.







34. Connect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.

35. Raise and support the vehicle.







36. Connect the transmission wiring harness connectors located on the transmission crossmember.
37. Lower the vehicle.

NOTE: Reactivate the air suspension system by turning on the air suspension switch.
