Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Description and Operation

The Hybrid Electronic Cluster (HEC) includes:

The instrument cluster houses all the gauges and indicator lights. All of the gauges are accessible through the Standard Corporate Protocol (SCP) Network.

When starting the vehicle the low oil pressure indicator, brake warning indicator, Antilock Brake (ABS) warning indicator, and the traction control indicator all go through a 3-second prove out test and all but the low oil pressure indicator are accessible through the SCP Network.

Instrument Cluster Replacement
The instrument cluster is not repairable at the dealership level. The instrument cluster lens and indicator/warning bulbs are the only replaceable parts. When HEC replacement is necessary, contact the Cluster Order System at 1-800-259-9700 (US) or 1-800-663-9974 (Canada).
