Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the horn system to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Loose horn retaining bolt
- Horns are touching surrounding sheet metal or other components

Electrical
- Power distribution box fuse 8 (20 A)
- Circuitry

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concerns that can be readily identified, repair as required.
4. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the condition and proceed to Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
