Special Tools Recommended

WARNING:
- ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIR SUSPENSION, THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING THE VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY OR TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SERVICE SWITCH LOCATED IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT ON THE LH SIDE. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.
- DO NOT SMOKE, CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR AN OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL-RELATED COMPONENT. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise the vehicle on hoist.

3. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe.
1 Remove the clamps from the fuel tank to filler pipe hose.
2 Disconnect the fuel tank to filler pipe hose.

NOTE: If the tank is over 3/4 full, the fuel must be drained below the 3/4 level. Locate the emission evaporative valve located at the top rear left of the fuel tank. Remove the evaporative emission valve and insert a 3/8 inch line from the fuel storage tanker and siphon the fuel below the 3/4 level. Follow the operating instructions of the fuel storage tanker manufacturer.

4. Use the largest diameter line possible from the fuel storage tanker and insert in the fuel tank filler pipe hose opening in the fuel tank. Siphon the remaining fuel. Follow the operating instructions of the fuel storage tanker manufacturer.
