Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the two lower instrument panel insulator push pins.
3. Remove the courtesy light and place the lower instrument panel insulator out of way.
4. Remove the instrument panel steering column cover retaining screws and place the instrument panel steering column cover panel out of way.
5. Depress the ignition switch lock cylinder tab and pull out the ignition switch lock cylinder.
NOTE: The tab is located between the sensor end and an ignition switch cylinder bracket.
6. Remove the ignition switch bezel.
7. Remove the ignition switch housing retaining screws.
8. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connectors.
9. Remove the antenna retaining screw.
10. Remove (2) shift interlock solenoid retaining screws.
11. Remove one ignition switch cylinder retaining screw.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
