REMOVAL

CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to work on the electronic controls or damage to the electronic component may occur.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING, JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SWITCH. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.







3. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.







4. Remove the rear heated oxygen sensors.







INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order. Apply a light coat of Anti-Seize Compound F6AZ-9L494-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M12A4-A to the threads of the heated oxygen sensors.
