Heater Hose: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the coolant from the radiator so that the coolant level is below the heater core; refer to Cooling System.
3. Loosen the screw and disconnect the connector from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
4. Disconnect the heater outlet hose at the engine.
5. Disconnect the heater inlet hose at the engine.
6. Disconnect and remove the heater water hoses from the heater core.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
- Lubricate the heater water hoses with Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube E25Y-19553-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESF-M99B112-A.
