Fuel Pump Relay: Description and Operation

The fuel pump relay supplies power to the fuel pump when the powertrain control module grounds the relay during START and engine RUN conditions.

NOTE: The fuel pump relay and the PCM Power Relay are the same relay. Ford calls it the fuel pump relay under fuel systems, but calls it the PCM Power Relay in the Engine Control Wiring diagrams and other areas.
