Vehicle Damage Warnings

CAUTION:
^ The jack provided with the vehicle is intended to be used in an emergency for changing a deflated tire. To avoid damage to the vehicle, never use the jack to hoist the vehicle for any other purpose. Refer to the Owner Guide when using the jack supplied with the vehicle.
^ Under no circumstances should the vehicle ever be lifted by the front or rear control arms, halfshafts or front wheel Constant Velocity (CV) joints. Severe damage to the vehicle could result.
^ Do not attempt to use jack pressure on either the front bumper or the rear bumper of any vehicle. Damage to the bumper covers will occur.
^ Do not allow the hoist adapters to contact the front wheel drive shaft joints, steering linkage, suspension arms, stabilizer bar, or compress the stabilizer bar link insulators. Damage to the suspension, exhaust and steering linkage components may occur if care is not exercised when positioning the hoist adapters of two-post lifts prior to lifting the vehicle.
^ To prevent possible damage to the underbody, do not drive the vehicle onto the drive-on lift without first checking for possible interference.
^ All four frame contact points must contact the adapters.
^ Do not carry out the Engine Load Test for more than five seconds or damage to the transmission or transaxle can result.
^ Limit engine running time to one minute or less with belts removed or serious engine damage will result.
^ Never probe moving parts.
^ Make sure the Exhaust System is warmed up to normal operating temperature, as thermal expansion can be the cause of a strain problem.
^ Do not twist or strain the powertrain/drivetrain mounts.
^ Do not install brake discs that are less than the minimum thickness specified. Do not machine a brake disc below the minimum thickness specification.
^ Do not use a bench lathe to machine brake discs.
^ Do not hold the steering wheel against the stops for more than three to five seconds at a time. Damage to the power steering pump will occur.
