Rear
Lower Suspension Arms
Two stamped lower suspension arms are parallel mounted (front and rear) to control the lateral (side-to-side) movement of each wheel.
A rear suspension arm adjusting cam kit is available to adjust the length of the lower suspension arms for setting the rear wheel toe-in and camber alignment.
Rear Suspension Upper Arm and Bushings
The rear suspension upper arm and bushings compensate for rotational torque placed on the rear suspension during acceleration and braking.
The rear suspension upper arm and bushings minimize noise and vibration issues during acceleration and braking.
Rear Spring
Air rear springs are used for the rear suspension.
Rear Suspension Tension Strut and Bushing
The rear suspension tension strut and bushing controls fore-and-aft wheel movement.
Rear Wheel Spindle
The rear wheel spindle is a two-piece cast component with pressed-in sterns and ball joints. The rear wheel spindle must be replaced if the spindle stem or upper ball joint is unserviceable.
Shock Absorbers
There are two types of shock absorbers available, semiactive and non-semi-active. The ride control system with semiactive shock absorbers features three different ride settings and is available as an option. The non-semi-active shock absorber is the conventional gas pressurized type.
Stabilizer Bar
The rear stabilizer bar transmits forces to control vehicle roll during cornering.
Suspension Fasteners
These fasteners are important parts that can affect the performance of vital components and systems and result in major vehicle damage. New fasteners must be installed if the old fasteners are loosened or removed. They must be replaced with the same part number or an equivalent part if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. The specified torque value must be used during assembly to ensure proper part retention.
Air Suspension System
The rear air suspension system is designed to improve ride, handling, general vehicle performance and to control the vehicle ride height.
