Inflation and Deflation of the Air Suspension System
1. CAUTION: Air springs must always be deflated before repairing any component that is a structural part of the suspension. The air spring should always be deflated when working on the system. Failure to deflate the air spring prior to suspension repair could lead to component damage.Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) inside the passenger compartment.
2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN position.
3. Configure scan tool for the correct model year vehicle.
4. Enter Active Command Modes on the scan tool.
5. Enter Air Suspension Diagnostic Control.
6. WARNING: When deflating air springs, have vehicle raised off the ground to prevent damage or personal injury.
Note: The vehicle must be positioned on a suitable lifting device prior to deflating the air suspension system.
Inflate or deflate the air suspension system as shown.
7. Turn the air suspension switch off after reaching desired fill or vent level.
