Windows and Glass: Description and Operation
The quarter window glass includes the rear door glass top run, which is serviced with the quarter window glass.
The back window glass:
^ has integral mouldings.
^ has a separate FM antenna on-glass tracing above the defroster grid.
The heated back window switch:
^ controls the relay, which supplies power to the back window when pressed.
^ is an integral part of the electronic automatic temperature control module.
Master Window Control Switch
The master window control switch:
^ includes a window lock-out switch to isolate the remote window control switches.
^ is an integral part of the Driver Door Module (DDM), and is serviced with the DDM.
^ can be used to activate any or all of the power windows.
Single Window Control Switch
A single window regulator control switch is located on all passenger door armrests. This switch allows activation of the individual power window only.
Power Windows, Driver Door Module
The Driver Door Module (DDM) communicates over the J1850 communication network and is located in the driver's door behind the front door trim panel.
For window motion, the DDM verifies the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCESSORY position. The DDM receives an Ignition Switch Status message as it is broadcast from the Lighting Control Module (LCM).
Accessory Delay
The accessory delay provides power to the window regulator control switch for up to ten minutes after the ignition switch is turned OFF. The accessory delay is turned OFF when a door is opened before the ten minutes expires.
