Fluid Line/Hose: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the fluid cooler tubes from the transmission.





1 Disconnect transmission inlet tube from cooler.
2 Disconnect transmission outlet tube to cooler.





3. Remove the LH splash shield pushpin.





4. Remove the bolts and the LH splash shield.

5. Note: V6 application shown, V8 application similar. The torque specification for the V8 is 18 Nm (13 ft. lb.).





Remove the nut and the fluid cooler tube bracket.





6. Remove the fluid cooler tube routing bracket.





7. Remove the fluid cooler hoses and remove the cooler tubes.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Fill and leak check the automatic transmission.
