Daytime Running Lamps
The Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) system is controlled by the [1][2]Lighting Control Module (LCM), which is located under the instrument panel. The system is designed to turn the low beam headlamps on with a reduced light output for Canadian vehicles.
Before the DRL system can be activated, the ignition switch must be in the RUN position, the headlamp switch in the OFF or parking lamp positions, and the vehicle not in PARK.
The DRL system will remain active until the autolamp system turns on the headlamps.
The LCM is not repairable at the dealership.
