Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
Removal1. Raise and support the vehicle..
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the front disc brake caliper and the brake disc.
4. Remove the front hub cap grease seal.
5. CAUTION: The front axle wheel hub retainer must never be reused. If the retainer is reused, it can back off resulting in loss of the front wheel and or damage to the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
Remove the front axle wheel hub retainer. Discard the retainer.
6. CAUTION: When removing the wheel hub and bearing, use caution not to damage the ABS sensor lead or the ABS sensor ring.
Note: The wheel hub and bearing assembly is a slip-fit design and should not require a puller to remove
Remove the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
Installation
1. CAUTION: When installing the wheel hub and bearing, use extreme caution not to damage the ABS sensor lead or the ABS sensor ring.
Install the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
2. Install a new front axle wheel hub retainer.
3. Install a new front hub cap grease seal.
4. Install the brake disc and the front disc brake caliper.
5. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
