A/C Blower Motor - Inoperative

AIR CONDITIONING-BLOWER MOTOR INOPERATIVE
LINCOLN: 1998-2000 TOWN CAR
ISSUE
The A/C blower motor may be inoperative. This may be caused by water entry into the blower motor housing due to a mispositioned or missing foam water block.
ACTION
Replace the blower motor and verify installation and correct positioning of the foam water block. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Replace the Blower Motor (YW1Z-19805-CA) as outlined in the appropriate Town Car Workshop Manual.
2. Verify the foam water block is installed in the correct position.
3. If the water block is out of position, reposition the foam water block.
4. If the water block is missing, install a new Foam Water Block (XW1Z-54020A20-AA) in the correct position. Refer to Figures 1 and 2.
