Normal Operation
The power seat switch is powered by battery voltage on driver circuit 30-AH35 (RD/YE) and is supplied ground on circuit 31-AH35 (BK/YE). When pressed, the power seat switch supplies that voltage and ground to a power seat track motor to move the seat. When pressed in the opposite direction, the power seat switch reverses the polarity to that same power seat track motor, which moves the seat in the opposite direction. There are three power seat track motors that combine to move the seat cushion horizontally (forward/reverse) and vertically (front up/down and rear up/down). The power recliner cannot be repaired separately. If the power recliner needs to be repaired, an entirely new front seat backrest frame must be installed.

Possible Causes
A driver power seat that does not move horizontally and/or vertically can be caused by:
- wiring, terminals, or connectors.
- a faulty seat control switch.
- a faulty seat track motor.
- a faulty backrest recline motor (part of backrest frame assembly).
