Normal Operation
The PATS uses an LED indicator. This indicator will prove out for three seconds when the key switch is turned to RUN or START under normal operation. If there is a PATS problem, this indicator will either flash rapidly or glow steadily (for more than three seconds) when the key switch is turned to RUN or START.

Possible Causes
- no signal from the instrument cluster
- anti-theft LED is inoperative
- instrument cluster
- circuit 31-LE42 (BK) open or short to power
- circuit 10-GL6 (GY/VT) open or short to ground
- circuit 29-GL6 (OG) open or short to ground
