Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives an A/C request signal from the DATC module, the PCM provides a ground for the A/C clutch relay coil through circuit 91S-FA79 (BN/BL). The A/C clutch relay coil receives ignition voltage through circuit 15S-FA79 (GN/RD). The relay switch receives battery voltage through circuit 30-FA79 (RD/OG). When the relay coil is grounded, voltage is delivered through circuit 15-FA6 (GN/YE) to the A/C compressor clutch field coil. Ground for the A/C compressor clutch field coil is provided through circuit 31-FA6 (BK/YE).

Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 31-FA6 (BK/YE), 30S-FA79 (RD), 91S-FA79 (BN/BL), 15S-FA79 (GN/RD) or 15-FA6 (GN/YE).
- A short to voltage in circuit 91S-FA79 (BN/BL).
- A/C clutch relay.
- A/C compressor clutch/field coil.
- DATC module.
- Evaporator discharge air temperature sensor.
- PCM
