Wheel Bearing, Hub, Knuckle, Upper Arm and Lower Arm-FrontNOTE: Use the hex holding feature to prevent the stud from turning while removing the nut from ball joints and stabilizer bar links
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist.
2. If removing an upper arm remove the shock absorber and spring assembly.
3. To remove individual suspension components only carry out the listed steps.
4. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

5. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Item 2: Brake Caliper, Pads, and Anchor Plate Removal Note
1. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the hose or damage to the hose can occur.
Position the caliper, pads and anchor plate aside.
Item 20: Lower Arm-to-Frame Bolt Removal Note
1. Remove the screws, pushpins and shield to gain access to the bolt.
Item 21: Lower Arm-to-Frame Bolt Removal Note
1. Remove the nuts and bolts, position the steering gear aside, and then remove the lower arm bolt.
Item 22: Lower Arm RH/LH Installation Note
1. Check and, if necessary, align the front end.
Item 19: Lower Arm-to-Frame Nuts Installation Note
1. Do not tighten until the installation procedure is complete and the weight of the vehicle is resting on the wheel and tire assemblies.
Item 14: Upper Arm RH/LH Installation Note
1. Check and, if necessary, align the front end.
Item 12: Upper Arm-to-Body Nuts Installation Note
1. Do not tighten until the installation procedure is complete and the weight of the vehicle is resting on the wheel and tire assemblies.
Item 7: Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly Installation Note
1. Apply a light coat of lubricant to the bearing/knuckle mating surfaces.
