Fog/Driving Lamp: Description and Operation

Principles of Operation

The fog lamp system consists of the following:
^ fog lamps
^ fog lamp relay
^ headlamp switch

The fog lamp switch (integral to the headlamp switch) controls the ground side of the fog lamp relay. Power is supplied from the LCM (when the parking lamps have been requested on) and routed through the multifunction switch (when in the low beam or flash-to-pass positions) to the fog lamp relay. When the fog lamp relay is energized, power is supplied to the fog lamps.
