Normal Operation
The ajar switches are monitored by the rear electronic module (REM) and front electronic module (FEM). When an arm request is received by the FEM the switch positions are queried, and if any door, hood, or luggage compartment lid is ajar, then lights flash 5 times.

If the doors are locked with the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter and the lock button is pressed a 2nd time, the horn will chirp twice to indicate that a door, decklid or hood is ajar.

Possible Causes
- luggage compartment lid ajar switch
- anti-theft hood switch
- door ajar switch(es)
- FEM
- REM
- circuit 8-GL7 (WH) open or short to ground
- circuit 31-GL7 (BK/YE) open or short to power
