Normal Operation
The parking aid system is enabled when the ignition switch is in the RUN position and REVERSE gear is selected. The parking aid module supplies voltage to the parking aid sensors on circuit 7-GN1 (YE/RD) and circuit 7-GN21 (YE/BU). The parking aid module supplies ground to the parking aid sensors on circuit 9-GN1 (BN/RD) and circuit 31S-GN21 (BK/OG). The parking aid module receives a signal from the parking aid sensors on circuits 8-GN19 (WH), 8-GN20 (WH/RD), and 8-GN21 (WH/BU). The system can be enabled/disabled through the parking aid switch. The parking aid speaker is integral to the parking aid module. A 750 Hz variable warning tone is generated by the parking aid speaker. The parking aid speaker increases the warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle.
