Normal Operation
The passenger door lock control switch supplies a ground signal to the rear electronic module (REM). When the REM receives ground through circuit 8-AA20 (WH/BU), the REM locks the passenger doors and sends a standard corporate protocol (SCP) message to the driver door module (DDM) to lock the driver door. When the REM receives ground through circuit 8-AA21 (WH/GN), the REM unlocks the passenger doors and sends an SCP message to the DDM to unlock the driver door.
Possible Causes
- circuit 8-AA20 (WH/BU) open or short to ground
- circuit 8-AA21 (WH/GN) open or short to ground
- circuit 31-LH42 (BK) open
- passenger door lock control switch
- REM
