Rear Disc Brake

Rear Disc Brake
The disc brake caliper is held in place using a brake caliper anchor plate bolted to the wheel knuckle. It uses 2 brake caliper guide pins to allow the single piston caliper to move as the disc brake pads wear.

The brake disc is a non ventilated, full cast design. The brake disc is removed and installed with the brake caliper and brake caliper anchor plate removed as an assembly.

The brake disc shield is mounted to the wheel knuckle and is held in place by the hub and bearing bolts. It protects the wheel bearings and inner surface of the brake disc from damaging road debris.

The disc brake pads are housed in the brake caliper anchor plate assembly and are of a non asbestos, semi metallic composition.
