Test C: The Adjustable Pedal Does Not Operate Correctly

Pinpoint Test C: The Adjustable Pedal Does Not Operate Correctly

Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 127 for schematic and connector information.

Normal Operation
The adjustable brake pedals operate forward or rearward when the adjustable pedal switch is pushed in either direction and current flows from the Front Electronic Module (FEM) through circuit 34-AL19 (BU/BK) or circuit 32-AL19 (WH/GN). Ground to the switch is supplied by circuit 31-AL19A (BK GN). The adjustable pedal motor receives voltage from the FEM through circuit 34-AL18 (BU/RD) (rearward) or circuit 35-AL18 (VT/BU (forward). The adjustable motor connects to a cable that transmits motor rotation to the adjustable brake pedal assembly. Another cable transmits motor rotation between the brake pedal assembly and the accelerator pedal assembly.

Possible Causes
^ adjustable pedal motor
^ circuit 32-AL19 (WH/GN) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
^ circuit 34-AL19 (BU/BK) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
^ circuit 31-AL19A (BK GN) open
^ circuit 34-AL18 (BU/RD) open
^ circuit 35-AL18 (VT/BU) open
^ adjustable pedal motor cables
^ adjustable pedal switch
