Removal
CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
1. Remove the air conditioning condenser.
2. Remove and discard the steering gear-to-cooler hose clamp.
3. Remove the steering gear-to-cooler hose.
^ Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
4. Remove and discard the steering line clamp plate bolt.
5. Rotate the steering line clamp plate and remove the steering gear-to-cooler line.
6. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
Installation
1. Install a new O-ring seal on the steering gear-to-cooler line.
2. Position the steering gear-to-cooler line to the steering gear.
3. Rotate the steering line clamp plate into position and install a new bolt.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. Install a new steering gear-to-cooler hose clamp and connect the hose.
5. Using the special tool, tighten the steering gear-to-cooler hose clamp.
6. Fill the power steering system.
