FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASSRemoval
NOTE: The front window motors must be initialized whenever the following occurs: the motor is removed from the window regulator, a new motor is installed, a new window regulator is installed, a new window glass is installed, a glass top run removal and installation has been carried out or when carrying out any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the window system. A new front window motor is in a proportional up/down mode until initialized.
1. Remove the front door trim panel.
2. Remove the watershield.
3. Remove the interior weatherstrip.
4. Connect the window control switch electrical connector.
5. Connect the battery.
6. Using the window control switch, position the front door window regulator-to-glass clamp bolts to align with the access holes.
7. Loosen the 2 front door window regulator-to-glass clamp bolts, allowing the window glass to move from the clamp.
8. Hold the glass in place, lower the front door window regulator to the full down position, and remove the front door window glass.
Installation
1. Position the front door window glass against the B-pillar.
2. NOTE: Make sure the front door window glass correctly seats in the glass mounting brackets as the front door window regulator is raised.
Support the front door window glass and raise the front door window regulator to the full upright position.
3. Tighten the 2 front door window regulator-to-glass clamp bolts after the glass is fully seated in the clamp.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
4. Disconnect the battery.
5. Disconnect the window control switch electrical connector.
6. Install the interior weatherstrip.
7. Install the watershield.
8. Install the front door trim panel.
