BALLAST

Removal

NOTE: Make sure that the headlamp switch and the ignition switch are in the OFF position.







1. Remove the three pin-type retainers, two screws and the radiator air deflector.







2. Remove the bolts and the headlamp assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.







3. Release the bolts and the headlamp bulb protective cover.







4. Remove the screws and the ballast.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Installation







1. Install the ballast and the screws.
- Connect the electrical connector.







2. Install the headlamp bulb protective cover and bolts. Tighten in the sequence shown in three stages:
- Stage 1: Thread the bolts half way.
- Stage 2: Make sure the gasket is centered on the housing.
- Stage 3: Tighten the bolts.







3. Install the headlamp assembly and bolts.
- Connect the electrical connector.







4. Insert the three pin-type retainers, two screws and the radiator air deflector.
- If necessary, adjust the headlamps.
