Normal Operation
The ajar switches are monitored by the rear electronic module (REM) and front electronic module (FEM). The REM communicates with the FEM on circuit 91S-GL13 (BN). When an arm request is received by the FEM, the switch positions are queried, and if any door, hood, or luggage compartment lid is ajar, then lights flash 5 times.

If the doors are locked with the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter and the lock button is pressed a second time, the horn chirps twice to indicate that a door, decklid or hood is ajar. The anti-theft hood switch is deactivated when circuit 8-GL7 (WH) is grounded through circuit 31-GL7 (BK/YE).

Possible Causes
- circuit 8-GL7 (WH) open or short to ground
- circuit 31-GL7 (BK/YE) open or short to voltage
- circuit 91S-GL13 (BN) open or short to voltage
- anti-theft hood switch
- luggage compartment lid ajar switch
- door ajar switch(es)
