Elevation System Check

ELEVATION SYSTEM CHECK

1. NOTE: The parking aid system must be checked to make sure that the system does not sense signals from ground reflections.

Check the ground reflection verification and sensor coverage pattern.

2. The following system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a 3.0 m wide x 4.5 m long (10 ft x 15 ft) smooth concrete surface, free of all obstacles and noise from fan and pneumatic tools.
3. Key in the ON position, engine OFF.
4. Set the parking brake.
5. Place the transmission selector lever in REVERSE.

6. NOTE: No audible alerts should be heard. If audible alerts are heard, make sure the bumper is correctly installed and is not tilted downward so that the sensor is pointing at the ground.

Verify that no audible alerts are heard.
