Removal and Installation
1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
2. Remove the thermostat housing.
3. Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.
^ Do not remove at this time.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories.
5. Remove the 3 bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.), then rotate an additional 45 degrees.
6. Remove the 5 bolts and the coolant pump.
^ Remove and discard the coolant pump gasket.
^ To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.), then rotate an additional 90 degrees.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new coolant pump gasket.
8. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
