Test M: The High Beam Indicator Is Never/Always On
PINPOINT TEST M: THE HIGH BEAM INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ONM1-M2:
Normal Operation
The instrument cluster uses both headlamp switch position and multifunction switch position inputs to control the high beam indicator. The headlamp switch signal is transmitted to the instrument cluster from the headlamp switch through signal circuit 8-LE21 (WH/GN) and return circuit 9-LE29 (BN/GN). Once the instrument cluster senses the headlamp ON signal, the cluster monitors the resistance through the multifunction switch to determine whether the switch is in the high beam or low beam position. The multifunction switch is hardwired to the instrument cluster.
