Normal Operation
The instrument cluster monitors a signal to the headlamp switch through circuit 10-LE47 (GY/OG). When the headlamp switch is turned to the AUTOLAMPS ON position, the signal is returned through circuit 9-LE29 (BN/GN). After the signal for the autolamps is received, the instrument cluster monitors the ambient light conditions by sending a signal to the light sensor through circuit 8-LE42 (WH/BU).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 8-LE42 (WH/BU) short to ground
- Circuit 10-LE47 (GY/OG) short to ground
- Light sensor
- Headlamp switch
- Instrument cluster
