ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR

Removal

1. CAUTION: Do not rotate the roof opening panel motor during removal. Rotating the roof opening panel motor may disturb the timing of the drive cables and guides, causing the roof opening panel glass to bind.

NOTE: If possible, make sure the roof opening panel glass is in the vent position.

Remove the roof opening panel motor access panel from the headliner.

2. Disconnect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
3. Remove the 3 screws and the roof opening panel motor.

Installation

1. CAUTION: Do not rotate the roof opening panel motor after the pinion is engaged to the drive cables to align the roof opening panel motor screw holes. Rotating the roof opening panel motor may disturb the timing of the drive cables and guides, causing the roof opening panel glass to bind.

Install the roof opening panel motor and loosely install the 3 screws.

2. Tighten the 3 roof opening panel motor screws.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

3. Connect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
4. Install the roof opening panel motor access panel to the headliner.
5. Initialize the roof opening panel motor.
