Normal Operation
The memory seat recall feature should operate the seat track and recliner motors smoothly to their preset positions when a stored driver 1 or 2 memory recall selection is activated. The recall can be activated by either the memory seat position switch or the remote keyless entry transmitter (key FOB). When activated, the DSM will apply power to each of the seat motors as needed to move the seat to the preset positions. The DSM monitors input signals from each of the memory seat position sensors to calculate each of the motors positions and will remove power from each motor once the calibrated position is attained. A missing sensor signal or faulty motor may cause the seat to operate in a pulsating manner (one-second intervals) or to become inoperative.

Possible Causes
An inoperative memory recall feature or a memory seat motor that cycles in one-second intervals may be caused by:
- wiring, terminals or connectors.
- a faulty memory seat position sensor.
- a faulty memory seat position switch.
- a faulty seat track motor.
- a faulty DSM.
