Normal Operation
The traction control indicator informs the driver that a traction control event is taking place, by flashing the indicator. It is also used to indicate a malfunction in the traction control system by illuminating the indicator constantly. The ABS module monitors the traction control event and sends the instrument cluster a controller area network (CAN) message to illuminate the traction control indicator.
