Test A: No Communication With The Luggage Compartment Lid Module
PINPOINT TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULEA1-A2:
A2 Continued:
Normal Operation
The luggage compartment lid module receives voltage from the battery junction box (BJB) through circuit 1190 (YE/BK), the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 1524 (DB) and through circuit 640 (RD/YE). The luggage compartment lid module grounds through circuit 57 (BK) and 676 (PK/OG). The luggage compartment lid module receives a voltage signal from the driver door module (DDM) when either the button on the driver door trim panel, the remote keyless entry (RKE) keypad, or the RKE transmitter is pressed (twice on the RKE transmitter).
The module has a vehicle speed output (VSO) signal that is used to shut down the system if there is a vehicle speed of approximately 5 kph (3 mph) or more. For diagnostics, the module uses the International Standards Organization (ISO) network. Whenever battery voltage is lost to the luggage compartment lid module, luggage compartment lid motor, or the luggage compartment lid closing motor, the system must be initialized.
Possible Causes

- circuit 57 (BK) open
- circuit 640 (RD/YE) open or short to ground
- circuit 676 (PK/OG) open
- circuit 1190 (YE/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 1524 (DB) open or short to ground
