MEMORY SEAT POSITION SENSORRemoval and Installation
All memory seat position sensors
1. Raise the seat to the highest upward position to access the memory seat position sensors. Position the seat to gain access to the fasteners.
2. Depower the SRS.
3. Remove the front seat.
Front up/down, rear up/down and forward/rearward memory position sensors
4. Remove the driver seat module (DSM) and shield.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Remove the 2 nuts.
3 Disconnect the electrical connectors.
4 Remove the DSM and shield.
5. Disconnect the seat track position sensor electrical connector.
6. Rotate the seat track position sensor counterclockwise and remove the sensor.
Memory recline position sensor
7. NOTE: The memory recline position sensor is serviced with the power seat recliner.
Remove the memory recline position sensor.
All memory seat position sensors
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
9. Install the front seat.
10. Repower the SRS.
11. Cycle the driver seat its full range of travel for the memory seat position sensor that was installed. For example, if a new horizontal position sensor was installed, position the seat all the way forward and then all the way back.
