2006 Explorer
LINCOLN:
2006 Zephyr
MERCURY:
2006 Mountaineer
ISSUE
Some 2006 Explorer 4dr, Mountaineer, and Zephyr vehicles equipped with memory seats may exhibit an issue with the easy entry feature. When the customer removes the key from the ignition the driver seat should move back two inches to the Easy Exit I Entry Position. When the customer returns to the vehicle they may find the seat in the memory position. The seat should have stayed in the Easy Exit I Entry Position until the customer inserted the key back into the ignition, then the seat should have moved to the memory position.
ACTION
Reprogram the seat module to the latest calibration using IDS release B44.1 Patch 1 and higher or B45 and higher. Calibration and IDS patch files may also be obtained at the website.
